I am returning to stoicism after finding myself often impatient and angry with others in life. This new podcast is just what I needed to get back on a positive path. Thank you.
Stoicism presented in bite-sized, relatable chunks.Being new to the stoic texts and digesting them on my own (outside of an academic setting and not with a group of like-minded peers) I find these conversations very helpful with attaining a deeper understanding of the concepts in the texts. In addition, i can use them as small daily “sermons” to remind me of what i am trying to achieve personally with my existence.Thank you for developing this podcast.
Seems to be the Stoic discussion I’ve been looking for. Others I’ve tried are academic, intangible lectures. This one is…practical. I am a Stoic work in progress. This helps me stay in the path.
I have listened to almost all of the episodes, and I love every single one of them. I love the length of the podcast, it makes it easy to replay if necessary to understand the point deeper. Tanner’s voice and his ability to explain the topic in an easy to understand manner is admirable. Keep the episodes coming!
I’ve listened to several different podcasts and this is definitely one of my favorites. Episodes are a good length and right to the point, makes it easy to listen and then relisiten later. 👍👍
The small bits of philosophy are enough for me to absorb and take in. The readings of Marcus Aurelius are educational and the discussions of them are enlightening. It is helping me on my path of self discovery
Reluctantly, I’ve really needed to change my thought process and how I interact with the world or handle those interactions. Stumbling upon this has given me a different perspective and have given me an interesting since of ease.
I’ve always admired people who understood philosophy and this podcast seems like a really good way to begin this knowledge journey. They are short enough to where I don’t feel bored, but they are long enough to unravel some meaning. Thank you for this podcast, I am enjoying it very much!
As a newbie to philosophy in general I am loving the simplicity and straight forward way this podcast is presented. The short episodes make them very easy to listen to as well. I love that I don’t have to have a masters degree to understand the points he is making. As someone going through major life changes I appreciate the ease the podcast gives me in an effort to be the best version of myself.
Like the length and content of episode. Would like to know:1. Anything ppl rarely know about stoicism 2. Difference btw stoicism and Buddhism3. How to understand a philologhy
I find myself listening to these episodes over and over again. Tanner’s reading is clear and well paced. His interpretations are insightful and practical. Leaves my thoughtful about journey I’m on to be stoic.
This podcast is great for the simple fact that there is so much information in such a short amount of time. Episode two has given me a different perspective on how to handle a feud within my own family
